I'm just wondering... aren't only people who make over 250k a year getting taxed by four percent?

Isn't everyone else getting tax cuts?

It doesn't. I'm always surprised when our presedential candidate come from the senate. It makes much more sense to elect a governor who has executive experience in running a state and it's budget. Senators usually have very little tangible experience in running something like a business, let alone a nation.

We really need election reform concerning term limits in the house and senate. Like the executive branch, their terms should be limited. Career politicians are killing this country.

I am wondering if anyone actually has seen the "tax cuts" or the "stimulus" they have given this last round.

I am retired - I do not have a paycheck, and I break even on taxes at tax time - no pay / no refund. I really don't know how it is with folks who have jobs right now.

I do know, however, that in my not so humble opinion, either everyone should be taxed the same - or it becomes selective taxation for some, and not for others - and that is just wrong.

I am not rich, nor will I ever be rich. The higher tax bracket does not affect me directly - but, and this is a big but - I also do not see how it is right to penalize or demonize those who do make more money, or have more money.

This country was founded on the idea that we all have equal opportunity - that does not mean we all get the same outcome. Those who are smarter or work harder, or are simply more lucky by birth will have more than some of us. That doesn't mean we can't become rich, or smarter or work harder to earn more - it means that we aren't going to have it handed to us for no effort.

Taxation should be equal - not a higher percentage from some folks and none from others. If you make more, you will pay more taxes - it is simple math - but you shouldn't have to pay extra just because you have the money to cover it.
