On topic: I don't agree or disagree with the T.E.A. parties, as everyone has the right to participate or to not participate in what they feel will be most beneficial to their country. In the end, I hope humanity will evolve past the need to have either party. It would be nice for society to fully comprehend and have the ability to practice good will and peace on Earth. I just don't like the idea of any big wig playing monopoly with my future...

Two events started all this.

1. The Civil War.

For the 1st time in our history, the Federal government imposed its rule on the States. Once that was done, the precedent was set.

2. Compulsory income taxation.

Once they had a financial "treasure chest" of our money, the gloves were off.

Today, we expect to pay taxes and that they will spend them for our own good.


Wanna fix it?
Put policticians on commission, like a salesman.

Hello, I haven't had much time to post on here but have been reading a bit here and there. I just had to respond to this topic.

Personally I was FOX news and CSPAN. Oh and I go to the stores and many people may think that we are not being taxed yet, but check out your reciepts and the prices of anything you buy.

Many people may have heard that you are getting 15.00 a week back in your taxes on you paychecks, that is something else you may want to check closer. The money they are giving you back is what you would get at the end of the year in your refund. We count on that refund check at the end of the year to buy the bigs things we need and or pay in advance on our bills. What I found is that now we will not get that money back at the end of the year. We have to change our file status in order to get them to without any federal taxes. Which I know will still mess us up next year.

The TEA parties were very peaceful and there will be more in July. There are many reasons for these rally's, our goverment is growing at unprecidented {sp} amounts, these bailouts are out of control and it is our childrens money, the changes that we are getting is changing our America into someplace that I am afraid our children will not recognize from the photos they will look at.

We are the people of America and we are the employers of the Goverment and they are not hearing us say stop spending our childrens money, that is why the TEA Parties! We cannot afford big goverment.

On a side note I will add that the HOME LAND SECURITY is now saying that the most dangerous people to watch our for is those with an opinion. Paraphrased!

If you are against abortion, gay marraige, gun control, if you don't believe in global warming and such things as these you are considered more dangerous then a terrorist {sp}. If you have an opinion that is you are an extremest {sp}.

My daughter was shocked this week when we added up all the taxes we pay and I showed her it was over 60%. Then I showed her that it was still over 30% even if we didn't make enough money to pay "Income" taxes. Then I told her the first tea party was concerning a three pence, or what I believe was about a 10% tax. She almost died.

Well, that's all I can say, I am way too radical. I will get this thread locked. Someday we will be free again.

The last thing we need is more regulations on corporations! They are the ones who sign your paycheck, and I dont care if you only work for a bakery with 2 other employees. Someone is buying that bakeries products. So ok, you live in a small town and every day you have some regular customers, well, they work for someone too. Say they work for the chain grocery store, or walmart. Well there you have it, they're getting their money from a big company. If those big companies are regulated and taxed to the point they are forced to move overseas, guess what, your daily customer is in the unemployment line and he wont be buying a dozen donuts every morning anymore.

I'm a manager for a burger king store. We in and of ourselves are a big corporation and regulations we need to comply with are already ludicrous. Fast food, I believe, will be one of the last luxeries to go, as this "recession" sure hasn't hurt our business a bit. But if taxes keep going up on big corps. like this, we will either need to 1) raise prices or 2) cut employee wages. If my meager wages get cut, I'd be better off quitting and putting my time into growing food and raising livestock at home.

Remember folks, bussiness owners are our friends.
