Yesterday I could not file my state tax forms (I already filed my federal) because my son swallowed a quarter and I ended up at the ER then being transported to another local city for the operation to remove it.

**** side note :: Thank you all from California and the California tax payers for allowing my son to be saved and now healthy

As I was saying my son swallowed a quarter on Monday and on Wednesday (tax day) the doctors removed a nickle. LOL

Sorry It was removed on tax day I just edited it.
Yes he is well and he can eat again. I am so happy that was over. But I think your right about the taxed from the inside out. I have a an x-ray that show a coin that looks the size of a quarter but the doctors said they removed a nickle.

ok so last night I watched footage of the tea parties. No ONE intellegent person spoke, not one person seemed to me to know why they were there except that they could all agree they hated Obama. To me reading all the signs and hearing them speak it became clear to me that the tax and spoending was just a cover to complain about the fact that the Republicans lost this election. Well I say sit bak and relax the PEOPLE have voted and spoken, and sorry if this time around the dems came out on top. I love how we are only a democracy when the peson you want wins not the other guy. I sat there watching people say they were not representated? really I did not realize that we had lost all our reps and were under a tyrony.

The same people who called those protesting Bush's policies Hippies, and nuts anr now saying how patriotic this protest is. it seems to me VERY one sided. When I see these people talk I am reminded o something my Poppi used to say

"my mind is made up dont confuse it with Facts!"

ps it is too early for me to spell check this.

Back off and look at that a minute. Thats putting everyone who speaks up in the same barrel. Blanket statements like that just show that the speaker is probably uninformed. I don't hate Obama, and my neighbor who went with me certainly doesn't. By the way, I am A Hippie. The real thing. I even had some duped friends years ago who drank Cool Aid.

well you were there so I could be wrong, I am speaking from what the camera people and news companies choose to show in their coverage. But honestly out of watching for 2 hours not one person seemed to know. Maybe only one side was shown. Clearly there are people like you who I feel ARE intellegent and I would much rather hear someone like you talk. Not the people I saw.

I just feel like this whole this is so one sided and all the Facts are being clouded by hatred.

again I will say the fact that people came together was amazing, even moving emotionally but I think the point was lost along the way. Or maybe it is just not being explained well.

I wish people cared this much a few years ago

Ouch. Now that hurt, and that is not at all what I saw - and I also watched alot of footage. I saw people there who voted FOR Obama, and I for one don't care if it's Obama, Bush, or my grandma in the White House (and Congress), I just want some honesty and accountability and it's been a long time since we have had either.

Believe me there has always been people who cared. I've been concerned from the 60s, and I've never once advocated or used voilence to deny anyone the right to speak no matter how much I disagreed. But unless your wish is to be a professional policitian, what do you do? Plus the fact that Politics seems to corrupt even the most altrustic of our citizens who attain some political power. Take everything with a grain of salt. I remember being shocked as a little boy when I was told that everything that was printed in True Magazine(my favorite) was not true.

It must be nice to feel so much smarter than the rest of us who attended these TEA parties.

Allow me to explain. This nation is on the verge of spending almost 4 TRILLION dollars in one fell swoop.

If that doesn't alarm you, you either don't have a pulse or you are drinking the Kool-Aid. Just because my candidate lost the election, doesn't mean that I cease to have a voice to express my concerns.

Those are the freedoms that this nation is built upon.

Liberals protested Bush for spending ~900B in 7 years on both the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They saw that as a crazy waste of money. Well, in less than a year, 4X will be spent by this administration.

I can't possibly understand why EVERYBODY isn't questioning the necessity of such insane spending...

This isn't all about who is right/wrong politically, it's about absolute fiscal irresponsibility!

I guess when the numbers get too high...people don't even care anymore. It's really sad.
