Naw, the feds wil first target the 14 year old children out feeding the family dog and mothers holding their babies in their arms (like Ruby Ridge) or the women and children hiding from the incessant gunfire (like Waco)....

THEN they'll come after the rest of us.

Take out the easy targets first, get some target practice in - then go after the ones who might shoot back.

Now, I do have to admit, I am not so concerned about the troops going after us citizens - because those troops have family and friends who are citizens.

The military forces are the last ones I would be concerned with, I think. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.meri

One of my many cousins is in the military & he was required to swear an oath that he would kill his own family (wife, kids, parents, siblings, etc) if the US gov told him to. He signed. He is far away from me right now~~thankfully. But I am sure there are others.....

But what does this say to all of us US citizens when our government would even think to ask that of anyone in the first place?​

I'm sure it will just be any right wing extremist that may be conspiring against the US. Too bad they closed Gitmo. They could just round them up on a vague suspicion and put them in there. That would be fun to watch too.

He had more money to spend on his campaign then alot of the others put together. Listen to the facts and do the math....The color of his skin has nothing to do with his election. I've bitten my tongue on this thread but I just want to point out a few things....

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Franks, Maxine Waters etc, are all duly elected representatives of their constituents. Only the voters can throw them out, and only those from their districts; not the president. The Democratic majority elected Nancy Pelosi as majority leader; that means duly elected officials elected her. Again....the president can't do anything about that.

This administration, thus far, has used language far less provacatively than the last administration. Bush administration officials called people who disagreed with its policies "traitors". People with tickets to gatherings were illegally removed because they wore buttons or t-shirts critical of the administration.

I would also like to point out that the taxes of 2008 had nothing to do with the current administration.

Obama was elected by the vast majority of Americans, unlike G. W. Bush in 2000 who lost the popular vote.

The US is a representative democracy, not a direct democracy. We don't get to vote for people in different districts, we don't elect the president by popular vote, and for the most part, we need to go to our representatives to get our issues and voices heard.

I admit, there are going to be crazies in the military - they already allow in gang bangers who train in our military so they can be better gang bangers back home on the streets - but the majority of folks, when faced with putting a bullet into the head of their own family, or some mother holding her child to her side, are not gonna pull the trigger.

I have more faith in humankind than that.
