I like those and have been looking. ever go into a store and see a row the Temperatue gauges for out side and inside ?
have you noted the temp difference on the same models ?

If you get more then 1 i had 4 that read the same and used them . Get more then one for the just in case also there is one with an egg pretty cool

Nope, they were just superficial. The yellow base of those incubators is molded plastic, and the one I got had a few small bubbles in the surface of the plastic. It was considered a cosmetic blemish, the 'bator works perfectly fine!
