Tags not working after an edit to the post.

Not sure if this is something that can be fixed, but I thought I’d ask because there seems to be a lot of people that are getting tagged, but not getting the notification due to this problem.

What has happened to me several times, and I can see others is, someone tries to tag them, but spells their username incorrectly, so they go back to edit their post, but it seems that once you edit a post “tags” don’t work anymore.

I made a test account so you can see what happens.

Here is just a random post of mine that I selected.

I edited the post, and tagged the test account.

As you can see the test account received no alerts that they were tagged.

Ok so to be clear:

1) You're able to add the "tag" to edited posts
2) But even though the tag works inside the edited post, it's not sending an "alert" to the user?

I am not @Isaac 0, but I think the answer is yes to both of your questions. Tags in posts only work if you get the correctly spelled before you hit the reply.

Thanks for the follow-up. I guess it's a part of the core software. Once we do the next update I'll see if it's fixed and then put in a request if it isn't.
