Tail Feathers after Molt

Those feathers will not properly unfurl. Check her for overall health and look for evidence of lice / mites.

Make certain feed is good. A bird in marginal health eating marginal feed can have troubles growing new feathers.

I would pull those feathers out and give her another try growing them in.

I think I'm just going to let her do her thing, and give it a few more weeks on getting the feathers developed more, so she gets the sheaths off when she's ready. Wing feathers were like this too, which are now developing nicely.

No on the Mites / lice - all clean at night, and nothing on them - regularly clean the bedding and spray everything every month or so when I clean out the coop. I have 4 Hens....This is the only one that went thru a really hard / stressful molt and is still recovering.

Food is all good, clean, clean water, extra protein for a bit now - Meal worms, black oil sunflower seeds, minor vegi food straps.
