Tail Feathers and Hair Styles?????

I just got a call from a friend saying that her sister, a hair dresser, wants to buy tail feathers from my roosters. Say what? Yes, I guess the newest fashion is to adorn hair with feathers. I told her that my birds will be going to the county fair in a few weeks, so I can't spare any.

Does anyone know about this? What's the deal?

your friend should not be asking for tail feathers off of just any roo. these come from a special kind of rooster that has to be culled to harvest the feathers.

We were in town the other day and I saw a sign at the hair salon announcing that they now do "feather extensions", so yeah I guess it's the latest trend.

If they want to come rake my yard, they can keep all the roo feathers they find.

right now, with so many tackle stores not selling to feathers to women, they're switching to any feathers they can find. (I still think it looks nuts).
