how long does it take for baby oegb tail feathers to grow long

My B.B.Red roosters were about 7 months when their 2 longer feathers grew over their tails. But my Red pyles were 5 months old when theirs started growing. It all depends on their genetic line. Some roosters tail feathers don't grow very long and they shouldn't be used for breeding.
