Tail-less rooster

My rooster has no tail he was hatched from an egg I got at the grocery store, the eggs were dark BCM looking, he is a mix, I don't think he is pretty though, he looks like 1/2 a chicken. His name is Twiggy. 4 months old.

Rumplessness can show up as a genetic mutation. Looks like he was dealt that genetic card.

Was he like this when he was hatched? If you hatch grocery eggs they might cause some problems... but other than that he looks healthy and happy!
