i was just wondering if there were any breeds of pigeon that don’t have tails, you can get rumpless chickens so one would assume it’s possible to have bred this into pigeons, any thoughts as I have white pigeons that live in my stables and one has lost all its tail feathers and looks quite interesting when flying around with no tail so I wanted to get some that would permanently not have a tail. Thanks in a advance

That is a variety I have not yet heard of among pigeon breeds. I expect the lack of a tail would impact it's ability to maneuver in flight.
Wonder what happened to it's tail feathers? They don't molt all at once.

Now you have me wondering how large a market there might be for tailless pigeons? aside from you that is!:gig

The one who’s missing a tail seems to fly faster than the others but has less control manouvring and gliding. I think it got pulled out by one of my horses as he likes to try to eat feathers so I think the pigeon sat on the stable door for too long and then my horse must have grabbed the tail causing the pigeon to release the feathers
