its day 19 should i take my eggs off the turner tray and put them on the bottom? i have 10 eggs and i candled them a few day ago . it looks like all of them are good. which would really be lucky since this is my 1st time.

Are you incubating chicken eggs? (all poultry have different lock down times)

If these are chicken eggs, yes, lock down, (the day you stop turning the eggs) should be on day 18. Remove the turners and lay down something that is non skid so when the babies hatch they have sure footing. Slippery surfaces can lead to splay leg. Babies have very weak legs. Put the eggs on this non skid material. That rubber shelf liner works well.

Up your humidity about 10% or 15% and do not open the incubator lid. Let everybody hatch before removing the babies, or, sometime around 24 to 36 hours. Never remove wet babies.

Good luck!

yes chickens.i took the turner trey out.put thin towels on the bottom and soaked them in water. also added more towels on the side with water to increase the humidity.no other way to do it? now i still have to open the unit to keep the towels moist for increased humidity.
