I extended the prefab coop with another while struggling to build a decent aviary. I didn’t do a perfect job since I couldn’t locate all of the second coop (correct screws, the plastic floor and part of the back), but I honestly feel it is secure after the first day of escapes.
Now I am suddenly missing half of the flock, and the eggs are disappearing. I have a human thief, and no way to lock her out of the quail pen. It’s a perfect storm of circumstances. I can’t have over 200 eggs shipped for a fun contest. It’s not worth it. As it is, I am debating my next step.
