Taking chicks home from Ag class

Our Ag class hatches out eggs every year and the chicks go home to various people. This year I plan on taking home the majority to add to my 4 week olds. My question is :Will I need to vaccinate them or will the medicated feed suffice?

Medicated feed should be fine, some people don't even do that much, myself included.
Just out of curiosity, where does the class get their eggs from?
