my duck just had four of her eggs hatch. she trusts me a ton. i pick them up, feed them, take care of them while she's scavenging the yard for food. i've taken care of her since she was just a little duckling too.
but im wondering, can i take the ducklings in at least at night? its getting really cold. and im starting to think she doesnt really care if theyre in the nest or not. also, she has more eggs to hatch. and i really want her to focus on those eggs. so what do you guys think?
i'd let them out during the day. i just dont want any predators (their nest is in a bush and their dad was killed by a raccoon) to get to them during the night. or for them to get too cold wandering about (it gets 40 degrees here).
please any feedback
