I wish i had a coop as big as that!!!

Okay.....so here we go!!!! Brought home 16 11 month old pullets and 1 roo! The mix.....2 Barnevelders, 3 Welsummers, 2 Black Copper Marans, 2 Wheaten Marans (with feathered feet), 2 Blue Marans, 3 Buff Sussex, 2 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes (one light--maybe a splash?-- and one dark), and a gorgeous Buff Sussex rooster (10 months old). You may notice the Sussex have mossy backs, but since I am not breeding I offered to take them.

I have a ton of pictures and can't wait for my first dark egg! I hope you enjoy my pictures.......Liz

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the pictures.

I got 10 eggs today. I'm sure there has been some moving stress.

They all found the waterer okay, but I had to show them where the feed was.

I have a trough feeder and I think they all had pans of feed before.

I picked up some hens and placed them on the feeder and showed the rooster where the feed was, next thing you know they were all getting up there.

Here are some pictures of the eggs.

I'm still figuring out who lays what, but I know the lightest eggs are Sussex and the light brown are Wyandotte. After that I have no idea.

Subscribed...! What a beautiful pack of birds! Cross Plains is a great area, I usd to live in the town of Middleton, now I'm in Ozaukee County. Are you planning on hatching some BCMs soon?

Nice flock!!!!! I live in Middleton, pretty close.....I am getting a Weaten Marans later this month, she is 10 or 11 months old and lays nice dark eggs! I bought her over a week ago but I have to travel and don't want my friend to have to deal with a quaranined chicken....bad enough that she has to stop by twice a day for the chickens and the cats..... I love the BLRW's....could not find any locally when I was ready. Now my mini flock is big enough anyway

Keep the pictures coming!!!!
