just to let everyone else know... I have never met PC before this summer when I had a yard sale and she came to purchase a few treasures... we got talking about my bantams and quickly discovered we were both members of BYC! How very exciting.. Is this world really that small? OR is BYC really that big?

Thanks Erin. I'll take you up on that-you have the perfectly cozy looking Washington County house and I love a yellow house. The little feathered softball cochins I got from you are doing well. And I thought silkies laid some tiny eggs!

We're not so keen on the cold snap here on the mountain. The woodburning stove has been going non-stop and I just ordered a heated hose. But my streak o'kindness has continued. A former neighbor helped me build a decent area for my Mandarin ducks to get them out of the chicken tractor they've been stuck in for 6 months. I took a nap afterwards since I wasn't feeling so great, and when I got up I saw that someone, I don't know who, had plowed my driveway! Granted it was only a wee bit of snow and a short driveway, but still, anonymous plowing! I know I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but there sure is a lot of niceness going around. I shall definitely have to do some things to pay it forward.

Thanks for the story. We tend to get hung up on the people or things that have hurt, but in reality the many good people make up for the bad. Upon many occassions I have been blessed by having the right person appear at just the right time. I no longer believe in coincidence. I have reached the point in life where I am able to and try to pass it on.
