"Alright..." Horus said, still concerned. "If you ever want lessons in flying, I'm here."
(cool, Horus is more of a harpy eagle)
 
Aegaeon had dived to the bottom of the pond when the other Rito landed but now he had surfaced and was watching the new, duck like rito and Horus closely.

(okay, my Rito doesn't actually look like a duck. She does have the bill, though, but that's it. She looks like a Rito-version of Animal Crossing's Mollie.)

"Ok, then, well I'm still here if you ever want lessons," Horus said softly. "Also, how do you plan on taking off, there is no high points here, unless you can create your own wind, like me..." Horus said, knowing that being able to create ones own wind was a very rare and special gift.

Ari nodded, curious about what 'making your own wind' looked like. The young Rito grinned. "I can take off. A different way..." Ari said, once again glancing at the water.

Horus could see the curiosity in the young Rito's eyes and spread his wings. Using his gift he let loose a burst of air that lifted him into the sky. He circled the oasis and then came in for a landing. He landed right where he had been, gracefully and barely ruffling one of the young Rito's feathers. "Now how do you take off?" He asked her.

"Well," she said, shuffling her webbed feet bashfully. "I use the water. It only works if I'm near a lake, though," she said, walking to the lake and diving in, staying under the surface for a while. She leaped out like a torpedo, flapping the water off of her wings. "This is how I take off," she said, landing softly.

"And that is what everyone is missing! Us Rito's evolved from Zoras so we can torpedo in the water similar to them. Anyway, that landing was much better. If I were you, I would work on my landing skills during my freetime.
