"Yes, I did. That's when you thought I had shut you out," Aegaeon said blushing. He tilted her chin up with his webbed hand and looked her in the eyes, "I have never met anyone like you," he said gently, "You are fun and smart and kind. You make even me want to travel the desert daily." He leaned down further and kissed her, softly. He pulled back and smiled at her.

She smiled at him “really? Your so nice.” She glanced around at her surroundings “but you can’t stay out here forever. What are you going to do when you have to go back?”

"I don't know, I have to go back to the lake," he sighed, "but I don't want to leave you... so I don't know what I am going to do."

"Why don't you come with me?" Aegaeon asked her, "To the lake I mean. You have plenty of family to take over your shift at the inn, and you could see soo many new things down at the lake!"

“Tempting, really it is. But I don’t. It’s me and my cousin who take the shifts at the inn, the rest of my family are busy working their other lives and jobs” she explained sadly smiling “I will miss you. And I don’t want to have to say goodbye and bring out short relationship to an end when it has hardly begun but I don’t have much of a choice”

"I'll find a horse and visit you, weekly. It will be difficult but I can manage," Aegaeon was desperately trying to figure out ways he could be with Sara. He didn't want to almost never see her after this. "I could even try moving to the oasis! It would take some getting used to and the heat would be a problem still but I can try, right?"
