I woke up this morning and was having my first cup of coffee when I heard a big rukus going on in the hen house. Go outside and look and its one of my newest adopted production reds layed her first pullet egg about the size of a golfball
e
I collect the egg and tell her good girl and give them all some treats.
20 minutes later, same ruckus, it was her sister laying her first pullet egg.
And would you believe an hour after that my third and last girl of that bunch layed her first egg!!!!!
All 3 of my babies layed their first egg within 3 hours of each other. All 3 hard shelled brown little golfballs, one of the speckled
. Talk about sisterhood. I've had them all start within a week, but within hours??
Wish I had my digital camera. Now I just have to decide am I going to have a new egg omlet or a new egg sandwich for lunch
