One of my bantam cochins decided to go broody. Not only am I not crazy about starting eggs in late November, look where she chose

She'd been laying in that feeder for a few months, so I shouldn't have been surprised! But, since I don't want chicks right now, poor baby now has this.....

I hate breaking a broody

It just goes against every egg-hatching, chick raising instinct I have!

Yeah, I was just out there to check on her and that little girl had knocked the cover off and was back in the feeder

So, now the feeder is snugged down and has a large rock on it. Stuck her little fluffy butt on the roost to see if she'd cool off a little. I never break broodies, so I don't have a cage or anything.
