One of my bantam cochins decided to go broody. Not only am I not crazy about starting eggs in late November, look where she chose [IMG]

She'd been laying in that feeder for a few months, so I shouldn't have been surprised! But, since I don't want chicks right now, poor baby now has this.....

I hate breaking a broody [IMG] It just goes against every egg-hatching, chick raising instinct I have!

I like the last picture. She's like, "What the heck happened to my nest site? [IMG]"

Yeah, I was just out there to check on her and that little girl had knocked the cover off and was back in the feeder [IMG]So, now the feeder is snugged down and has a large rock on it. Stuck her little fluffy butt on the roost to see if she'd cool off a little. I never break broodies, so I don't have a cage or anything.
