Bought a Suncast Shed at Menards for 604.00 on sale. We added two long perches on the inside , also added one Omlet brand automatic door. Large 7x8 chicken coop under 1000.00, you may be able to find a free used shed in your area. Added 9 nesting boxes on one side.

Yes has floor. Has two vents on top peaks front and back.

I just received a quote for a 10x6 chicken coop... $2,023! I know lumber is sky high... no need to tell me that. But here is the crazy part... I'm thinking about paying it. But I honestly feel like a fool paying that much for a CHICKEN COOP! I was fine with $1500... and $1700. But $2k seemed a bit excessive. What do you think? Give me your story.

My FIL drew me up a plan to build a 5×9 coop and I went to a local amish where wood is slightly cheaper and paid 293$ for the lumber. Check your local amish for wood prices instead before spending that much.
