Talk to me about air pockets

I'm hatching shipped eggs and the air pockets are wonky. Some are in the wrong place some are huge (up to 1/3+ of the egg). I've heard the term detached, is that's when it's in the wong place? Can those chicks hatch? I saw movement, I lockdown day after tomorrow. I hate to think it made it this far and won't be able to hatch.
