If your chickens could talk (with words, of course), what would yours say?
Mine might say, "the poop looks good on the deck steps, why are you washing it off?"

Either "HEY!!! Where's lunch????(meaning treats); or, "HEY!!!! How come WE can't come in the house, too? It's cold/raining/hot out here! (while pecking on the front door) The dogs, cats and people all go in!"

"Just one more treat, pleasssseeee!!!"

What gives her the right to come in here and steal our eggs?

What the heck happened to all the fresh corn?

She moved the eglu again, can't she make up her mind?

All the best grass is up front, why won't she share? She's not using it.... (live in the city, front yard not fenced = dogs) I want to cross the road, it is MY DESTINY!

What do you think happened to her feathers? Just shoot me if I ever look like that, the poor thing......

The beetles are particularly good this year..... (ok, not they are only 6 months old)

LOL! I can read my chickens' minds...

"Mom, where's the treats? What, grass/leaves/veggies AGAIN?? WHERE'S THE FREAKIN' CHEESE??" On the plus side, since I bring treats so much, they SORTA come when I call "chick chick chicken!"

That's the big girls. The babies hatched and were partly brooded under their mom. I've had them for 3wks now, and I'm certain when I go to check up on them, they are always saying, "Ok, we're fine in here. Go do something else now!" They still seem to think I secretly want a chick snack.

I KNOW what mine say. When I get in the car to leave, they jump up from a sitting position and starting "talking".

They say "You BETTER not run off and not come home til after dark again, cuz if we dont get our free time, we are NOT gonna go in this pen in the morning, I am WARNING you!"

And they dont....

Mine would probably say.... "mom's comin with treats again

" LOL... I feed them vegies all day LOL... what ever is left over from lunch and dinner...

Momma hen would say.... "will you please quit closing the windows and doors.... Codys bed is really soft and warm and I like to lay my eggs there!!!!"
