I mummify mine, too. I use a baby swaddler. Forgot to mention that.

Note to newbies reading this conversation,

When wrapping a bird it's important to not wrap them so tightly that their ribs can't move. They require their ribs to breathe and can suffocate if restricted too tightly.

Wrap just firmly enough to pin the wings without restricting the ribs.
