I never get much help here so I'm not sure why I keep trying but here goes. How do you tame your ducks to like you? I have three Pekins that I got last spring and they're wild as can be. And I got 6 ducklings last week that aren't so friendly. How do I make them my friends?

Hold them constantly, pet them, let them learn to eat out of your hand. Our four Pekins are so sweet and personable they walk right in front of me for attention and cheerios (to the point of being annoying)

uh its pretty simple, you usually don't need help with this.
spend time with the babies feed them from you hand, let them have bath time with you with them ther elf course, spend time with them even just sitting down with you they'll probably be scared at first but like what else can you do. fr the adults just be nice to them , feed them

ok first of all ducks love you just through food and thats how u mainly get a bond if they don't love you then i can tell your probably not feeding them.... umm.. like yeah, its kinda how you bond with every other animal pretty much in the entire world. so yeah....

it just takes time.

woah woah woah woah, wait. if the babies are scared of you the first thing u don't want to do is handle them like pick them uo to put them in the bath and stuff but no, don't hold them constantly that will freak them out. grow a bond then hold them and pet them, that way they allow you to

also don't feed them cheerios it shortens their life span, they can't fully absorb the sugars and can't eat yeast which is a big ingredient in cheerios, just feed them corn like the kind you feed deer and stuff, triple cleaned corn, chalked corn, and game bird chow, along with cat food, but whatever you do don't feed them cheerios, its okay every now and then but instead of that no.

We sat by ours while they were in the brooder and let them get used to our presence, and held them. Not literally constantly but a lot. And they've gotten even sweeter as they've gotten older.

ok god bless, I'm done, just follow the advice pls and don't freak them out by holding them and stuff or overly being attached for the first few days/weeks, its gonna take time

yeah its fine if you had them since they were born, and if they're in the 1 week old range, thats when they look for a motherly figure. and if they trust you then yeah handle them all you want, but if they're freaked out by touching don't hold them a lot yet

They were probably 4 days old when we got them at TSC. 3 of the 12 of them were female.
