Tape on leg?

My first batch of ducklings didn't have the sexing tape on their legs but the ducklings I received today do. What is the best way to remove the tape? The hatchery says it needs to be removed, but failed to say how. Thanks.

It is pretty easy to pull apart by hand as the tape is not that sticky. Otherwise you can cut it with scissors then pull it off. I've done both. It is not stuck to their skin that strongly.

Thanks. I am just so afraid of hurting them. I was able to get one off. I think I will do the rest when my husband is home to hold them.

We had our new ducklings splash around in a warm water bowl that they could stand in. It loosened the tape a bit to make it easier to unwind.
