I just want to say a huge thanks for this thread and responses, especially the photos.

One of my grown hens was given to me as a gift and she has really gnarled feet, so when our newest baby was born yesterday morning with curled toes, I was heartbroken. Luckily, I remembered seeing something on here about taping toes. Did a quick search, found this thread and fixed the problem!

So grateful!
