So the math for Zimecterin Gold is:Hi! I bought Zimecterin Gold but i’m seeing so many different doses for my hens (also I am US based). My hens are around 5 lbs each I’m just not sure what the correct dosage is! Ive been reading through different threads but theres so much conflicting information! The zimecterin gold has the 1.55% ivermectin/7.75% praziquantel so i’m assuming it needs a higher dosage than the equimax? I’m just don’t want to overdose them on accidenti also have 1.0ml/cc syringes! thank you again
I was just demonstrating how to measure 0.16 is on a 1ml syringeI have Equimax, but I am unsure how to measure out the 0.16 ml to administer it to my hens. Suggestions? Thank you!!
thank you so so much! and thank you for including the math i weighed all 8 of my hens and will calculate each dose using that thank you so much again!!So the math for Zimecterin Gold is:
Weight in pounds, divide by 2.2, times dose (10 mg/kg), divide by # of mg of praziquantel in one ml (77.5 mg/ml)
One pound - 1 / 2.2 x 10 / 77.5 = 0.0586 ml per pound
Five pounds - 5 / 2.2 x 10 / 77.5 = 0.293 ml per five pounds
