I had a gal with the tapeworm seds so I treated her with the Equimax horse paste...once then again in 10 days, it rid of them.
About a month later (yesterday) found another gal with the tapeworm seds treated her with same "Equimax" (and will again in 10 days)
Today, found the gal I treated yesterday also has roundworms so I treated with Pancur (w/4 more days to go on the Pancur treatment).
Also today...found 3 more with tapeworm seds so I've ordered more of the "Equimax" which will be here tomorrow so I can treat them and then again in 10 days.

2 questions-
1-My gal with both worms (tape and round) and treating with 2 different meds (equamax one time and repeat in 10 days & Pancur for 5 days)...is this going to be too hard on her or too much for her body to handle? Anything I can provide her to help her through it with less stress on her body?

2-Now having found I believe that's a total of 4 members of my flock (which is half my flock) with the tape sediments, should I go ahead and treat the entire flock at this point with the Equimax for the tapeworm treatment of one time and repeat in 10 days?

3-Guess there's a third question 😂... These are still the recommended products to be using for the specific stated above correct?
Equimax (.033ml per lb)
Pancur (I've been told 0.23ml per pound but have since seen a correction In one of the posts of 0.5 ml per pound...would somebody mind confirming proper dosages please???)

As always thank you 🙏 all for your time and consideration in advance!

With a lot of these intestinal parasites, if you see it in one, you might as well assume most of the rest have it. You might as well go ahead and treat, otherwise it will just be a never-ending cycle.

I would think with the one you are concerned about, splitting the treatments will hopefully be enough to ward off any complications.

Not much I can help with regarding dosages. I've never used the Equimaxx on chickens and I used the goat dewormed mixed with water for roundworms.

Only use the Equimax on birds showing tapeworm segments in feces.
Insects are the host for tapeworm infections in poultry. It is called the Indirect lifecycle of poultry tapeworms.
Roundworms have a Direct lifecycle, meaning that chickens pick up worm eggs from pecking the soil and swallowing the eggs. If you get the chance, look up the Direct lifecycle of worms on your computer and see how roundworms infect poultry via their lifecycle.

Only use Equimax on birds showing tapeworm segments in feces.
Then wait 10 days, then worm ALL your birds with the Panacur ONLY ONCE. It will be easier on you and your birds, there will be no guesswork which birds to worm or not to worm.

The reason you use the Panacur (Fenbendazole) only once is because there is Ivermectin contained in the Equimax. Ivermectin will eliminate some types of roundworms in poultry, but not all types. That's why you need to use the Panacur to get rid of the other types of roundworms.
It would be best to do a follow up treatment with Panacur 30 days later with all your birds to eliminate the roundworm lifecycle because your soil is contaminated with roundworm eggs as I mentioned.

Dawg53 is a good source on worms and tapeworms. Since tapeworms can be reintroduced by the chickens getting the worm eggs from droppings of a chicken with tapeworms, and by eating insects, beetles, worms, and mice that are intermediate hosts of tapeworms. Keep droppings picked up as possible, bedding dry, and if snails, slugs, worms, flies, grasshoppers, and beetles are found, removing them would be good prevention.

So do NOT treat my gal with both worms with both meds and only treat those I KNOW for certain have the tape worm, not the other 4.
But treat whole flock with Pancur in 10 days.
Only 1 has round & tape the others have tape only.
Do I have the treatment and dosages right?

Also, do you know a good resource for learning of the lifecycle?
