Did you say pick up droppings? How to dispose of them without spreading the eggs??

There is no way to completely eliminate worm eggs in/on soil and dispose of them. ONE female large roundworm lays about 200,000 eggs a day.

Yes, you cannot completely eliminate them from the dirt, but if you remove droppings into a bucket, and take them away it can help. You may be dealing with tapeworms for some time, but with regular treatment of the chickens who are passing those segments and picking up droppings as best as possible, you may be able to get rid of them eventually.

Well, here I am back AGAIN! I have done everything as instructed each n everytime I've seen which been dropped a poop with tapeworm segments. I did the treatment only to those in which I seen them drop with my own two eyes and did the dosages of the medications as was specified exactly to include the 10-day follow-up with the pancur for entire flock (a just in case per recommended). As far as the husbandry I don't think it can better considering what we have already done and what we do on a regular! Yet here again we just found this (see pics, and this is way further progressed than any we've dealt with up to this point. And we keep our eyes peeled and literally watching for chickens to poop as sad as that sounds, it's the daily reality of what we spend our time doing! Only this time on top of it being a much further progressed situation We did not see who dropped this one, my husband just happened to have found this dropping as he was tucking them in the bed. Clearly we can see from even from the image that it is a fresh one.) I do believe we're only a month and a half ish since the last round treatments, ugh!! Never ending no matter what we do! I mean we pickup and dispose of every poop we locate all throughout their large coop, even larger run, and larger still (huge) the entire surrounding of our home which is fenced but enormous. We walk out all several times throughout the day and pick up each and every piece of poop We can find! I honestly don't know what more we can possible do! Are they not entirely ridding of the worm to begin with or they getting recontaminated each time? If what we're using isn't working Maybe it's time to start looking into something else? But if they're getting recontaminated what more can we possibly do? In my personal opinion this is a pretty bad case I do not want my girl suffering from! As I stated it is the worst that we have come across thus far and now we don't even know who dropped this one!

Yep, those are tapeworm segments.
Panacur will not get rid of tapeworms. You must you either Equimax horse paste or Zimecterin Gold horse paste. Keep in mind that insects are the vector for tapeworm infections.

How much Equimax are you using per pound of weight? Are you giving it orally directly into their beaks? Dosage is 0.16 ml for a 5 pound chicken. That one treats tapeworms, and the fenbendazole (Panacur or SafeGuard 10%) treats the other worms— round, cecal, gape, and capillary. Are there any insects or earthworms they could be eating that may be intermediate hosts of the tapeworm eggs?

Yes, I followed the instructions and did this medication (Equimax @.033ml per lb 1 time) for the ones we knew for "fact" had tape worms. However 1 gal had both tape and round worms so it was recommended to not give her both Pancur and Equimax, rather to wait then dose whole flock with Pancur @ .25ml per pound in 10 days.
No insects at this time of year, it's currently snowing here now. However on the nicer days it is possible they may be finding and eating various different things they dig up.
I simply do not understand how any one of them can possibly be this progressed, I mean we make it a point to keep a close eye on who is pooping what! I still don't know who has them, and therefore unable to treat! How is it possible one poop can show that much progression, yet no other poops whatsoever have had any at all! Wouldn't the chicken had the poop in the picture have had other poops with the less progressive amount of tapeworm showing in their poops prior to that one?
