Tapeworms and possible roundworms

Hello! My two RIRs are about a year and five months old. So far they were doing great, but there are definite tapeworms in their poop. Also, they are getting more white in their runny poops than before. I gave them The Poultry Store All Natural Dewormer for two weeks and I think there are fewer worms coming out, but they are still coming out, so I need to handle this. I was trying to avoid getting anywhere near that central opening in their throat but I will if this will help them.

The information available is very confusing with multiple names for one medication and some of the suggestions are not available in the U.S. anymore.

I have Safeguard on hand and I THINK from what I've read this will treat tapeworms? Is there a medication that will treat tapeworms AND roundworms? If not, what will treat roundworms? Do I need to hold back their eggs after treatment?

I also have Ivermax liquid on hand (for covid treatment) and it states it will kill roundworms. ??

I only have two girls so dosing information for anything is super important. And no, there is no local nearby vet for chickens since we live in a very small town away from the big cities, thank the Lord.

Thank you in advance!

You need praziquantel for the tapeworms, you can get that in Equimax or Zimecterin Gold horse paste. It should take care of the roundworm also. Dosing for those is here in post #6:

You may see some places that say to use a 'pea sized amount', that is very inaccurate and could result in incorrect dosing, so use an oral syringe and measure it out. You can put the medication in the beak at the end, no more than 0.5 ml at a time, and let the bird swallow it, and repeat until the entire dose is given, if you are uncomfortable putting it farther back. Instructions on how to give oral medications safely can be found here, very good instructions:

I have the Equimax and syringes coming Tuesday. Great video and dosing information. Thank you soooo much! Do you know if I have to withhold the eggs after the Equimax since it contains Praziquantel? I don't mind Ivermectin at all, just don't know about the other ingredient.

I actually would be concerned about ivermectin as well, since it takes time to clear the body. Neither of the drugs in Equimax is approved for poultry, so they are used off-label. So studies showing how long they last before clearing the body of the chicken are rarely done. FARAD is the organization you can contact about egg withdrawals. Here is a thread with a lot of replies from those who have used it:
