Tarantula keepers?

I have this absolute beauty coming home to me on Wednesday. Adult female C. lividus. ❤️
I usually buy slings but saw this one for rehoming in the Scottish group and had to have her! I always wanted a lividus and the sling I got last year sadly passed away.

I'm just curious now! Are Turantulas fun pets?
They are very much a look, don't touch kind of pet - but there are hundreds of different species to choose from with different colorations and they show a huge variety of behaviours that are interesting to watch. I really enjoy building their habitats too!

Interesting! That makes sense. They're really cool looking 🤩

Sometimes they are described as fuzzy pet rocks. Some species are more active than others, but still not as fun as, say, a lizard. They are more for looking at and it can be fun to watch them eat, drink, dig, and spin webs from time to time.

Ah, I see! That actually sounds so cool!!

I've had pet spiders before and it's sort of like a pokemon, gotta collect em all! Lol

I think they are fun to watch. I can even watch my bugs for hours on end-same with chickens and fish. You can't play fetch (my dog doesn't always bring the ball back) but as other's said it's like a display pet lol

Absolutely recommend the albops, they are amazing little sweethearts! I've got a bunch of others but will always keep curlys too. I've got three at the moment I think. <3
My hubby almost got me a pink toed from pet store and I was like NO! I'm not ready for an arboreal! Lol (or moreso top of the tank) lol it wasn't until like 8? Years ago that I was able to pretty much overcome my arachnophobia. --like Id scream and jump on couch lol. Now they live happily in the sink under the strainer, and Ive even done handheld removals outdoors. And because of that I grew to love the Ts. At least browsing them. Lol and bc of that did a ton of research on which would be best for me :)
