Tattoos and piercings

My mom would just use a regular sewing needle, sterilize the it by heating it up on a candle, and have at it....

That is how my sister does it. I cannot bring myself to do it (though my sewing needles do not come in the appropriate gauge anyway, so I would just be stabbing myself without having a useful hang-y hole).

I’m a Sagittarius. There’s one tattoo I’ve been thinking about getting for awhile. Still not sure about it. I do have a few piercings I want to get though

I'd like to get an ear pierced, but the last time I went, the worker used the gun they use to pierce the ear and the earring got stuck halfway. They kept trying to wiggle it, to get it loose, the guy's ear was turning red, and so I told myself..maybe next time.

That is what happened to my sister when she was a teenager! Her ear was horrible after, and now it is constantly infected. I gave her my piercer's card so she can get her next ones done professionally. Maybe she will stop doing it herself, because she is not good at it.

What type of piercings?

In my experience, if I have a design for more than 3 months and I still do not know if I like it, then I choose to not get it. Sometimes the design just needs to be tweeked, but other times it needs to be either scrapped, or completely reworked. Have you tried playing with the design? It may become something that you fall head over heels for, or it may become a design boogeyman.

I may not share your faith, but I love that you chose such a symbol. If it brings peace to you, and hardens your resolve in the face of temptation, then it is perfect.
