Apparently the shop is closed today. I never called on a Monday before, and now I know why.

Huh. So it is not that the pricing is cheaper down south, but just everywhere else. I pay $300 an hour, which is why I get small tattoos done. My last visit I paid either $500 or $600 for the word Dóchas to be tattooed down my left outer forearm, but that price was for the entire visit and I know that I got my lip rings downsized and some new gemtops for them...so I paid maybe about $400 for the actual tattoo.

I guess I am super Karen-y. If I ever saw my artist drinking that, I would refuse to sit for him, and maybe ask the owner to tattoo me. It makes for a shaky hand, and I like my guy to be calm in every way when he is coming at me with a needle. Especially since he does deep ink for me due to all of my scars.

Again, this is a personal friend of mine that does it as a side job...the local tattoo shop around the corner from me charges upwards of $300 per hour to start, then adds for size, additional colors, and if he has to wear a bikini or not.
