Tattoos; Good, Bad, Ugly, Pretty...?

I love them I want them, but DH has said absolutely not, he has one and would give anything to have it removed!

This is a must site for me DAILY, I love love love this site, but I do NOT let my girls look at it as some things are not PG so this is a warning!

I visit that site daily too, mostly for a laugh. I agree, it can be NSFW and I wouldn't let someone under 18 scroll through it alone. They do try to edit out some of the naughtier things, but sometimes they slip up or just don't think about it.

That site has a good collection of tattoos never to get. There are some that are really well done, but they don't make a lick of sense. Most however are just absurd and poorly put together.​
 
I have 5 tattoos.

I've worked at the hospital for 6 years now, wearing scrubs every night, and unless I mention it, no one knows I have them.

That's te beauty of my ink, I can show it off if I choose to, and keep it hidden if I choose to.

I have never seen a tattoo that I would want, or even that I agree with, and I look at them lots. I don't see them as an art form or self expression any more than I do graffiti. More like defacing. JMO They have a strong negative history here and I add to that my personal feeling that the process by which they are applied is just painful and creepy and over all I just find them almost repulsive. I see a nice person with one and I want to ask them 'Why would you do that to yourself????' but I'm too polite.

So I know I'll represent the minority in this thread.

Let me just say think long and hard, they are permanent and if you can't resist get one you keep covered up in daily life.
 
I would much rather have a huge scar than a tattoo, better stories! If I had a good reason, I would consider it. My sister recently got a VERY crappy looking ''thing'' on her lower back, and that looks horrible. But....I do think tattoos [good ones] look very hot on guys, esspecially if he has a motorcycle, leather pants, and long hair
