Welcome to BYC! Maybe increasing their protein would help. such as fish, egg, mealworms etc. So glad you have rescued these hens, that's a great thing to do!

Welcome! Thank you for taking in rescues!!!!! Like sourland said..... good feed with at least 16-18% protein, space and clean housing, some time and TLC will do wonders
