This auction is for 10+ Lavender Orpington day old chicks. These chicks will hatch on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 and will ship Express Mail on the same day for a flat rate of $50.00 unless you elect for pick-up. Pick-ups must be made within one (1) week of hatch date. If you order other chicks from us on the same date, there will only be one flat rate of $50.00 for all chicks ordered, no limit. Orpingtons in general are a popular dual-purpose variety, weighing between 7 and 10 pounds and laying an average of 200 eggs per year. Lavender Orpingtons themself, are a new rarer variety, ours having come from the popular Hink JC line and having the desired darker legs and beautiful loose lavender feathering, making them appear to be heavier than their true weights.
