Now that the weather is getting colder again I start to drink more herbal tea (Rooibus is my favorite). I have 4 teapots all different sizes and every year I think "I should make tea cozies for these pots". That said, anyone have patterns for tea cozies they will share here?

Sianara, it's easy to make tea cozies. Mine are 13" across and 9 1/2" high with a loop at the top. That's looking at one side. I use quilted fabric for the lining, making it separately so no seam show. I sew a binding on the bottom to match the loop at the top. They make great Christmas presents for tea drinkers or bazaar sale items. I've donated several over the years to a church bazaar and Humane Society bazaar. Look at one at a department store for reference. I'm sorry I am unable to post a picture of mine but I am computer illiterate when it comes to photos on this website. I will ask DH for help.

sianara, I just sent you a photo of my cozy by picasa. I hope you receive it. I sent it to your email address. I made a cozy from the same cheerful fabric that I have on my dining chairs, so cozies can be anything that you want.

Thank you! I did get it and responded via email. It looks very simple to make, I just couldn't picture how to put it together but your photo helps!

Wildsky,

Where do you buy your Rooibus? The only place I have found is a store in a local mall (which also has a website www.teavana.com). I only drink it with honey made locally myself

I found this beekeeper whose honey is so good it doesn't even taste like the "weak" honey you'd buy in the grocery store. Completely different taste. In fact I gave it to relatives for Christmas two years ago.
