Tea Time.... Relax with us and have a cup of hot tea!

Good Morning friends!
Have you tried hibiscus tea? It's delicious hot. I usually drink it iced in the summer, but hot tastes great, too,
I found jasmine tea w/o green tea mixed in. I was so very happy till I read the ingredients and found it had anise mixed in instead. Blargh!!!!

No, I have never had hibiscus tea (but I probably made my brother eat the flowers or the leaves. lol

I hate it when something isn't what it says it is!

IKR, it was a big disappointment to find jasmine tea mixed in w yucky stuff once again.
I am not brave enough to try iced tea just yet. Still too cold for me. Maybe in May...
I like my tea strong, too.
My favorite mug is stained brown from the teas I drink. I wonder what tea is doing to

It is wet and raining today, so I am canning beans.
Black beans, navy beans, garbanzo beans, and kidney beans.
I think it is 32 pints worth.
I do pinto in quarts because I make baked beans out of them and they go quickly.
But the store was out of pinto beans! Dern that pinterest showing everybody how to be self sufficient.

We eat a lot of beans in the summer. We work late and opening a can of beans, some rice and a cold piece of leftover 'something' and we are good.

Because I was sick for January and February I did not get my tomatoes started early enough to get any this year.
I do believe I am bummed about that.
I might see If I can pick some up wholesale, and can someone else's this year.

We also love beans here at home. I buy them in bulk and cook from scratch. Pinto and black turtle are our favorites. I plant some in early summer, but just for fun. Sorry about your tomatoes. Here it's still early to plant tomatoes, unless you start them indoors. That's what I'm going to do next week along with sunflowers. The ground is still frozen and early morning temps in the teens. I feel I'm turning my house into a greenhouse and transplanting in time for harvest.

My son will probably end up in New York state for college. He is going to have some kind of a time getting used to the cold.
I would be trying to grow something by now and panicking that I'd miss the window.

Your will definitely know what cold is. But the first snow is a beautiful thing. DH tells me that his first snow was when he was at a core class in college. He looked out the window and saw his first snow flakes. He was smitten by the beauty and silence of that snowfall. What college is your son planning on attending in NY? It might not be too cold depending on where he chooses to attend.

He was accepted to Rensselaer in Troy. But he has applied to many more, so far they are offering him the most affordable deal. But he has to wait until the end of April before he finds out the rest of the acceptances.
Kettering also accepted him, but Detroit sounds just as cold for much more money.

How nice. It's supposed to be a very good school. Best of luck to your son on his college acceptances!

And yes, it will be very cold

I'm sure he'll be ok.
