i teach 4th grade in washington state, and we decided it would be a great project to hatch some chicks in class this spring. well... i am now the proud owner of 4 little chicks, 2 more to come. my dad is building me a small coop for the backyard, and the cats haven't quite adjusted to chicks in the office... we had chickens when i was little, but i think i loved them more than they loved me.
they were squeezed and petted and carried around and pulled on and loved, all the while being very good sports. anyway, just wanted to say hi.
