Yeah, I had no idea that keeping chickens was going to be an endless list of projects!!! I'm like a pig in slop!!! Two of my favorite things are lists and projects!!! (Right after chocolate and chickens. lol)

Well, I have an excuse (not really a good reason, mind you) I'm getting over a cold. My good reason today is that it's raining. lol

Wasn't it you that said that you and your DW are 21/22? I'm 35.

Back to more sober matters. I am having the same problem as you, the chickens dig all the way down to the nesting lay their egg(s) and then the eggs get covered up again. Today I found one that was smashed, who knows how old it was. Sheesh. I feel the same way you do.

Okay, well, I only found the one egg under the pine straw, but I feel your pain at losing an egg. Our dog found one in a bush in our front yard, then we found another, then another. The total was two white and one brown and they had been there for a while.
