Can we teach them to do so? Is it possible? I saw a mouse get in and they tore it in half. Just a rat snake around I am hoping they will handle him. I cant find my cat atm.

When my cat caught something I would feed it to them. SO they see a mouse or rat and lose their mind. I de worm reg.

Rat snake will choke hens at night is the only issue.

If the rat snake is big enough to kill a hen then I don't think a Guinea will be able to do much to stop it... You can use a minnow trap to catch snakes, just put some bait in there and put it up to the side of the wall and then the snake goes in and eats the bait and can't get out. Although, you would need a massive trap to catch a rat snake that is big enough to kill a hen.

Not sure what that is but I have used these for trapping and catching smaller snakes for fun. People also use them to catch and remove rattlesnakes from their property.

She wants them to actively seek out and kill pests. Don't we all.
IT worked tho with the mice, and rats or so it seems. I just know they kill/attack them on spot now. But i don't kow if it was my training or whatever or just them? I see a lot of guineas refuse to go near snakes, then i see a guinea attacking chasing them off.

Rat snake messes with hen while sleeping in that comatose state on eggs. They leave the muscovy alone or get killed trying to take eggs. Guinea i find are a lot faster and more fiesty than chickens when it comes to handling predators. Just hens at night don't put up a fight . During the day rat/milk/fox snakes are scared of hens. They are about a meter long, i have not seen huge ones. Dogs take notice of bigger ones, smaller snakes get ignored. My bengal cat will go after any of the rat snakes but she has to be around. I never saw one kill a hen but found one small hen with that wet mark around her neck while broody. The muscovy female I have seen kill a snake while sitting on eggs. The geese at my parents did not even know a snake was eating eggs lol The snakes can kill hawks even if the snake is two feet. The hawk or owl is wayy too confidant and flys off with a live snake. The snake choke them. It is wraping around thin birds neck while it is sitting. But they could not do it to some birds. I think it may have did it after it started getting pecked by the hen while eating eggs? Not sure. During day the snake wouldnt dare.
