She's starting to outgrow my vest that I've been using to do her beak, so I'm going to have to find something else to wrap her in. She's definitely growing well, which is very good.

Following!
She's precious and you're an angel for caring for her.
I've never had a crossbeak and pretty new to chickens. Can she eat on her own pretty much? I assume so because you mentioned her at the feeder.
Besides filing her beak are there other special needs she has?
Thank you! :hugs
She's actually my worst case of Crossbeak, so some of her is pretty new to me. Yes, she can eat on her own, though she struggles a little bit, and is slow at eating due to her beak. When I bring treats to my flock, I have to push the other birds away so she can get some. She does better with bigger pieces of treats.
Ambe just has the beak. Due to her beak, her skull has grown differently where it's more rounded than it should be. But I don't think the way her skull has grown will be any problem, thankfully. Of her flock, Lilac (nicknamed Thief), who as an EE just like Amber and is the same age and from the same place, I just discovered Lilac's toes is crooked. So apparently, Amber isn't my only Special Needs pullet. (Lilac is the pullet in my current PFP.)
