I've had my "new" phone (OnePlus 12) for some time now and so far it's pretty good despite its issues.
The cameras have been amazing so far. I really like them. I don't think I can go back to not having a telephoto lens. I end up using that for most of the photos I take of my chickens. It's very useful.
Battery life is MUCH better than the Pixel. I finish the day on around 80% instead of the 50-60% the Pixel 6 would. I haven't had to take full advantage of that battery yet, but I'm pretty certain it'll be useful when I do.
Software-wise, it's pretty solid, though there are weird holes here and there. There's a bug with the always-on display that causes it to glitch when the fingerprint reader circle is rendered but not the AOD. Sleeping the phone does nothing, you have to swipe up to get past the bug.
There's also the sheer amount of normal settings that are BURIED in the Settings app. It's a big pain and I had a hard time finding them, especially the ones with the name changed from what it is on stock-ish Androids.
I also miss the "squish lots of stuff" settings that LineageOS has. Lots of wasted space.
Oh, and updates seem to be whenever OnePlus feels like it. When I got the phone, its latest update was the January Android security update, and a couple weeks ago I got the March one. Take that how you will.
Besides that, I really like the software and haven't found much to complain about.
Handling of the phone is weirdly OK. I was worried about having a bigger phone, but it seems to fit in my hand "OK", though I do have a few accidental presses, especially when taking photos.
Besides the cameras being a reason to upgrade, I also got more storage, and it's AMAZING having that much. I have filled up about half of the 512GB I have and have some room left to stretch.
Performance is overkill for what I use a phone for, but since I have that performance it means I practically never run out.
Overall, I'm very happy with it. I wouldn't recommend this phone to everyone but it seems to be pretty good for me. I initially intended to grab an iPhone but I don't regret buying this one over that.
