Teen Chick Identification. Help?

I have two chicks I am trying to identify. I am pretty sure the first black one is an Austrolorp, but I would just like confirmation. The second I'm not too sure about. It is supposed to be a Black Sex Link but I have never had one before, and I know they can all look a bit different. Thoughts?

The first does look like an Australorp, and the second reminds me of a Cuckoo Marans.

Thank y'all! The lady at the hatchery that day, wasn't the owner. So when we asked for certain breeds of chickens (and ducks), I think she had trouble identifying them. Haha.

Why do you think it is a rooster? We aren't sure how to tell hens from roosters.

Yeah, definitely Australorp cockerel. He's a cutie!

The Australorp is a cockerel. A female won't get a red comb until she's just about ready to lay eggs.

Your second bird does look like a cuckoo Marans, and it's a pullet.

Will he still stay sweet when he's mature? Can roosters be sweet? He's one of our sweetest babies. This kind of makes us sad.
