Yes. There are two of them. They have been in their own pen with several of their siblings since around the New Year I think. We only have those two left. I think they are just super eager and may settle down fairly quickly, but goodness, someone is going to get hurt.

Yes, we have about six acres. They tend to free range about two if those acres. Mostly our main yard and into the groves some. No fences. Lots of coyotes, fox, raccoon, hawks, barred owls, mink, weasels, skunk, and even fisher. We have a dog and that helps a lot, but also the roosters are so alert.

So far only loses were at night. Once a mink found an opening. Once a raccoon family when we were gone and the caretakers didn't secure the pen properly. Early on a hawk attacked one and a dog twice.... not ours. We have had chickens for about seventeen years now I think.
