Teeny Tiny Chick.

Doppy has grown a little bit more. its feathering on the wings has grown more in a week but body fluff is not coming in too fast. My other new borns have more fluff. It eats well and is a really fast runner. It copys everything that "mom" does. I will get some pics up tomorrow.
The late arrival is what happened to my chick.
Late Arrivals:
A chick that hatches more than a day behind the rest of its clutch starts life behind the 8-ball. Known as a “cull chick,” this latecomer spends its first 24 to 48 hours recovering from its pipping ordeal while the rest of the brood is already dry, running about, and eating starter rations.
As a result, it behaves tentatively amongst its more outgoing siblings. It is more susceptible to stress, which can suppress growth.
OR:
Dwarfism..
caused by a mutated gene.
OR:
bantam;any of numerous small domestic fowls that are often miniatures of members of the standard breeds

I would also like to hear from you about how your little chicks progressed, as I also have 3 new ones here, currently at 4 weeks old, and one of them is a lot smaller than the other 2. Here too the small one hides under the wings of one of the big ones, as if she was her adopted mom : )
this doppy. one at 2 weeks the other at 1 week. picture of doppy next to a newborn.
