Tell me how your Cochins were as mothers and broody, and as over all chickens.

I have 2 Cochin ladies, they’re actually huge because of the massive fluffI’ve never had one go broody (usually always my silkies go broody) and they’re super loud! I love them and want more because how fluffy they are but they make god awful chicken noises and it’s always the Cochin!!
their eggs are big (but I only have silkie eggs to compare) They usually lay once a day or every other day. I’m getting a good steady stream of nice eggs from them View attachment 2132894

I have a couple muts that I have no idea what they are and a bunch of splash silkies, couple white ones. The white silkies are super friendly. Cochins I’ve never been able to pet but they aren’t mean. I wish I could have some black and blue silkies but everyone is buying chicks right now! Oh and 2 call ducks that I really don’t like because they make the water so dirty but they live in the coop too.Very pretty. What other breeds do u have?
Oh, I as thinking about getting perkin ducks but got 5 chicks instead ( 1 salmon Faverolle hen, 1 production red hen(hopefully), 1 ameracana hen, 1 light Brahma hen, 1 light Brahma rooster!!I have a couple muts that I have no idea what they are and a bunch of splash silkies, couple white ones. I love brahmas, I raised a few of them for my family when they all were delivered. Super friendly chicks and beautiful adults! As for the ducks, I regret taking them from my Uncle. They get the water dirty and poopy, they pick on people and aren’t friendly (not all ducks just mine).Oh, I as thinking about getting perkin ducks but got 5 chicks instead ( 1 salmon Faverolle hen, 1 production red hen(hopefully), 1 ameracana hen, 1 light Brahma hen, 1 light Brahma rooster!!
